Princeton Elementary is proud to announce Mrs. Amanda Carr as the new principal of Douglas Elementary. Mrs. Carr was a special education teacher for fourteen years prior to becoming the principal at Logan Junior High School. Ten of those years were spent at the former Reagan Middle School building in Tiskilwa, IL, which then served 4th and 5th grade students of Princeton Elementary. When Reagan closed as an attendance center in 2014, Mrs. Carr transitioned to become the principal at Logan Junior High School replacing Mr. JD Orwig. Mrs. Carr is looking forward to using her experience as the new principal of Douglas Elementary School, supporting the pre-school and kindergarten community of students, families, and staff. She will also eventually support the district with responsibilities related to grant work and special education. Mrs. Carr is replacing Mrs. Lynette Bima, who retired earlier this year.
